2023 Wrapped: The Year of Innoloft's No-Code Vision and Making App Building Easy for Everybody

As the holiday season nears and 2023 draws to a close, it's the perfect time to raise a glass to the incredible year it's been for Innoloft. Though we've always dared to dream big, even we couldn't have predicted just how far we'd come in these short twelve months.

From major funding wins and exciting new talent joining our squad, to groundbreaking product launches and visionary events that sparked fresh innovation, it's been a year of full steam ahead.

As noted by our CEO Sven:

In 2023, the team was fueled by audacious dreams of how far we could push the boundaries of our no-code vision. More than milestones met or capital raised, what made this year magical were those ripple effects from empowering businesses, universities, agencies and founders to turn digital visions into reality at top speed. Our €1 Million Funding: Celebrating Innoloft's Milestone

Securing €1 million in seed funding marked a pivotal moment for Innoloft this year. It was a validation of both the visionary solutions we pioneer through LoftOS, and the trust in our potential to reshape no-code application development.

As Sven told on his Startup Valley feature, this funding round comes at a critical junction as demand for digitalization far outstrips the talent to deliver it. Shortening development cycles from months to minutes is the only way to close this gap. LoftOS makes it possible, and our seed round is a great proof of this. 

LoftOS came into existence to tackle one of the biggest challenges of our time, as covered by Deutsche Startups, and with this funding we'll focus resources on elevating LoftOS into an even more adaptive no-code platform allowing anyone to build enterprise-grade applications...without writing a single line of code.

The funding accelerates these ambitions to democratize development. It lets us take further risks on product innovation and expansion, while also nurturing Europe's next generation of innovation.

From Lisbon to Berlin: Networking and Sharing our No-Code Vision Beyond Borders

We may be busy pioneering tools to accelerate digital transformation behind the scenes. But we also were present on some huge stages in 2023!

Earlier this year, we had an awesome meet-and-greet stand at the Pirate Summit in Cologne. Attendees were excited to chat first-hand with our team and discover how LoftOS empowers their digital visions too.

Before the end of the summer, we received a special invite to the prestigious, closed-door B2B SaaS Neworking ARRtist Summit in Berlin. Our founders relished rubbing shoulders with some of Europe’s most successful startup founders and VC investors during the exclusive two-day event. In between the thought-provoking panels and workshops, there were lots of great networking opportunities.

A highlight was showing up in force to the legendary Web Summit in Lisbon - the world’s largest, most exciting tech conference in the world. Our CEO Sven brought LoftOS into the international spotlight when he delivered a pitch on-stage at their exclusive early-stage startup competition PITCH.

As you can see, we didn’t just focus on developing new features, our team enjoyed sharing the LoftOS vision at major global gatherings of forward-thinking founders and investors. We can’t wait what 2024 holds for us! 

Welcoming New Customers Across all Sectors

We were thrilled to welcome so many disruptive new innovators into the LoftOS community across different fields in 2023.

Powerhouse giant T-Systems chose us to build an internal web app to crowdsource groundbreaking ideas from employees. Our no-code platform empowered them to launch their frictionless innovation management system 10x faster than traditional dev would allow.

The Innovationsagentur Rheinland-Pfalz also tapped LoftOS as their backbone to create a digital hub accelerating tech advancements and research collaboration in the region. Their mission to future-proof regional industries aligned perfectly with our goal to make building web platforms accessible for organizations of all sizes.

We were similarly excited to help established telecom provider Peoplefone launch “Peoplefone Business Class” - an online B2B marketplace fostering partnerships between IT manufacturers. No-code made realizing their vision quicker and more affordable compared to outsourced dev shops.

And these are just a few of the many outstanding enterprises that became Innoloft customers this year! Our incredibly versatile platform continues appealing to innovation teams across functions, verticals and global regions. Stay tuned in 2024 as we onboard even more!

Launching the Innoloft Blog

We also debuted the official Innoloft Blog this year as a go-to resource center for everything from no-code and B2B networking resources, to how our LoftOS can help our customer with research transfer, creating marketplaces and more.

The goal is to provide you with practical information and guides that make your no-code journey smoother. For instance, our top post “Launch Faster: The Complete Guide to Configuring Your New LoftOS Platform ” serves as a friendly onboarding roadmap for new users.

We also showcase the wider innovation movement through inspirational spotlights. Our piece “Government Digitalization Pioneers: Top 6 GovTech Experts in Germany You Need to Know!” offers rare insight into these visionaries pioneering public-sector transformation .

And we also explored why businesses are no-code solutions, like in “No Code vs Code Debate: 6 Key Reasons Businesses Prefer No-Code Development Platforms.” The blog is our way of paying forward all that we’ve learned to help uplift aspiring builders in our community!

Unveiling Next-Level Personalization and Revenue Streams for Your Platform

Of course, none of this growth would have been possible without continuing to rapidly evolve LoftOS into an incredibly versatile no-code platform. We pushed hard this year to unlock new functionality that empowers everyone to bring virtually any web solution imaginable to life!

For instance, our integrated Pages website builder lets users create sleek, professional landing pages and full websites without coding. Since launching Pages in July and enhancing it with more templates and multimedia options, it’s fast become many users’ favorite LoftOS feature. 

We also introduced Templates - our curated selection of preconfigured platforms for popular use cases like building innovation networks, marketplaces or B2B online communities. These templates let users hit the ground running. LoftOS does the heavy lifting so you can focus on customizing to your needs instead of starting from a blank canvas.

Another game-changing addition to LoftOS was the long-awaited, Paid Packages, enabling users to create customized tiered membership plans and finally be able to monetize their platforms. And now our recent Stripe integration will make your ride even smoother by taking the hassle out of managing your payments too.

And on the customization front, our enhanced module framework makes it even easier to adapt LoftOS to your specific needs for a truly personalized platform.

LoftOS Summit Sparks Fresh Innovation

This vibrant two-day gathering in Aachen brought together customers, partners and innovators from across Germany and abroad.

The action-packed agenda included hands-on workshops to skill up on topics like optimized UX and strategic community growth tactics. Attendees also had lively discussion panels on the future of no-code and monetization models.

Recharging at Team Week 2023

Right after the summit, we took a much-needed breather from heads-down building to come together for our annual Team Week. This was a chance for our globally distributed team to connect, meet and recharge in person!

Our offline adventure brought our remote teammates together to meet IRL for the first time. All while trekking the beautiful Belgian landscapes and kayaking local rivers.

But it wasn’t all play - we also put our heads together for an epic hackathon session. We surfaced some fresh ideas to understand current challenges and make LoftOS even more intuitive and user-friendly for our community!

Growing Stronger: Welcoming New Talents to the Innoloft Team

Of course, none of these ambitious plans for the future would be possible without a passionate, ever-expanding team behind LoftOS. That’s why we were thrilled to welcome a new all-star talent across many teams in 2023!

Our dev squad scaled up with additions like front-end engineer Shivam and back-end engineer Danylo. Marketing gained creative content writer Boris. Cristina joined us as our new Lead Development Representative.

The customer success team enlisted experts like Julia, Zainab as Customer Success Manager. Linda also came on board as our HR & Finance Manager, with Eymen joining as our Sales Development Representative.

We also formed an all-star UX design team consisting of Sofia who joined us as a UX intern, along with Kamran and Elnaz coming on board as our experienced UX designers.

Our diverse team is what makes the Innoloft experience shine!

Our Funding Journey From the very beginning, Innoloft had the vision to revolutionize the way software is built.  We saw the potential of no-code development when we realized there was a big issue with digitalization in Germany, and since then we've been working tirelessly to bridge the IT Skills gap, regardless of technical expertise.   As our customers began building innovative applications on LoftOS, we saw the tremendous impact our platform could have.  From engaging regional innovation platforms connecting the startup landscape of Lower Saxony, to efficient B2B community networks across various industries, the solutions created by our customers were reaching over 70,000 end-users showcasing the power and potential of no-code platforms.  This validation fueled our determination to scale LoftOS and empower even more businesses to digitize and automate their processes. We knew that we had something special with LoftOS, but we also knew that we would need support to scale our impact. That's where our investors come in. In 2023, we closed a seed funding round that propelled us forward and solidified our vision.  This early investment allowed us to expand our multicultural team, refine our product, and start building a loyal user base. Fast-forward to today, we're thrilled to announce that we've secured our next major funding round, led by the Dutch venture capital firm Capital Mills.   Capital Mills and Existing Investors Join Forces to Fuel Innoloft's Growth This investment, which brings our total funding to €2 million, is a testament to the incredible growth and potential of Innoloft and LoftOS.  Not only did we attract Capital Mills as a new investor, but our existing investors also demonstrated their continued confidence in our vision by supporting our funding efforts. Capital Mills is a true partner in every sense of the word. With their extensive experience backing high-growth B2B software companies, they bring invaluable expertise and resources to the table.  But beyond that, they share our vision for the future of software development and our deep commitment to empowering citizen developers worldwide.
